2021/2022 CPRE Derbyshire AGM at Creswell Crags Visitor Centre
We held our 2021/22 AGM at in the library at Creswell Crags on 16th July 2022 – a perfect venue for our members.
We highlighted the work that CPRE Derbyshire has undertaken throughout the year, as summarised in our Annual Report. This included the shift towards increased campaign actions, particularly for climate crisis matters, the Hedgerow Heroes project, and for community energy visioning projects. This is in addition to the great progress we have continued to make on planning issues, which can often threaten our beautiful countryside.
- Hooks Farm in Borrowash
- Whistlewood Common in Melbourne
- Wilsthorpe Nature Reserve on the Five Pits Trail near Clay Cross
Due to illness, our formal guided tour of Creswell Crags was cancelled, but we managed to arrange a walk around the Crags with a local leader of Worksop walking groups, Malcolm Funnell, who highlighted the beautiful glaciated valley of the gorge at Creswell and some of the historic caves in which our ancestors once lived.
The Creswell Crags catering team provided an excellent lunch, and we are grateful for their hospitality.

We would like to thank Jo Goddard, our retiring Secretary, for her excellent work for CPRE Derbyshire over the last three years, in particular the work she did updating our website into the new CPRE branding style and creating our social media channels. Jo will still be helping us going forwards in Amber Valley and editing our Annual Report.
