Volunteer in Derbyshire

We’d love to welcome you as a volunteer!

We’re currently doing our strategic planning for 2021 to keep creating positive impact for a thriving Derbyshire countryside.

This will include a range of new volunteer posts, coming soon!

In the meantime, we are always on the lookout for people to support our activities in Derbyshire with the skills and interests listed below.

Background experience in planning can be helpful, but isn’t essential – we can offer guidance and mentoring if you can bring the enthusiasm and commitment!

  • Contributing to the Local Plan for your area
  • Monitoring planning applications in your area to provide regular updates for our regular planning meetings
  • Responding to planning applications in your area (assessing proposals and forming a written response)
  • Lobbying your local councillors, MPs and other stakeholders around CPRE’s campaigns and activities
  • Helping with publicity and promotion such as press releases, newsletters, online content and/or representation of CPRE at events
  • Doing leaflet drops and/or talking to local people about our work and activities
  • Helping our fundraising efforts, using your skills and imagination to grow our financial resources to stand up for the Derbyshire countryside
  • Organising countryside-related events for members. For example, talks, guided walks, conservation activities, litter picks
  • Helping with our digital engagement/social media.
