National grid Upgrade

Here at CPRE Derbyshire, we don’t question the need to upgrade the nation’s electricity infrastructure. However, we believe the National Grid’s preferred emerging corridor from Chesterfield to Willington, with 60 kilometres of minimum 50 metre high steel lattice pylons is not the correct option for some of Derbyshire’s most valued countryside.
