Hooks Farm hedgerows

On December 20th and 21st (2022) CPRE Derbyshire worked at Hooks Farm to restore hedgerow.

The weekend was led by our delivery partner The Conservation Volunteers (TCV), and we were lucky enough to have sunny days and hard-working volunteers!

Hooks Farm Dairy commented: “Hedgerows are important here on Hooks Farm as they provide barriers to our fields and important habitats for local wildlife.”

Local CPRE groups across the country have been directly engaging with communities and volunteers to ensure their involvement with these practical conservation projects in their local green spaces. We’re proud to be contributing toward increasing our hedgerow network by 40% by 2050, as recommended by the Climate Change Committee to help achieve carbon net zero.
