2024/2025 AGM held at the Whitworth in Darley Dale
On 28 June 2025 we held our Annual General Meeting on a lovely sunny day at the Whitworth in Darley Dale.
We were delighted to welcome along Roger Mortlock, CPRE’s national Chief Executive. He spoke about the current challenges to the countryside and about plans to celebrate CPRE’s centenary in 2026.
Roger also presented certificates to the four category winners of this year’s Derbyshire Living Countryside Awards. He also presented a CPRE volunteer award and medal to our very own vice-chair Andrea Watwood, who leads our planning volunteer team with skill and dedication and provides excellent support to the chair.
Our speaker this year was Ashley Franklin, feature writer and photographer, who gave a humorous presentation called “My Derbyshire Life” about his long career on the well known magazine of the same name.
After a buffet lunch, raffle draw and a breath of fresh air in the Whitworth’s beautiful park, John Ydlibi, our chair, led the afternoon session with a review of the year, our plans for the next twelve months and the re-election of our charity’s officers.
Thank you to everyone who attended. We hope you enjoyed your day.
