On Saturday 13 July 2024, CPRE Derbyshire held its Annual General Meeting at Cromford Mills, part of the Derwent Mills World Heritage Site.
Attending members and volunteers were treated to an entertaining talk from Liz Woledge, Head of Engagement for the Arkwright Society, the charity which rescued the mills in the 1970s.
We enjoyed some free time before lunch, some enjoying a canal walk and others the shops and exhibitions on site.
In the afternoon, Andrea Watwood, our vice chair, summarised our achievements from the last year and our plans for the year ahead.  Officers of the charity were formally elected and we said a fond farewell to Tim Silvester, who has retired after fourteen years of volunteering for CPRE Derbyshire.
Thank you to everyone who came along. Let’s do it again next year!
