Support for Little Eaton Branch Line Greenway

CPRE supports developments that contribute to the fight against climate change whilst preserving the key assets of the landscape and natural environment. This includes developments that encourage walking and cycling as an alternative to car use and road building.

We are pleased that a grant has been secured to further the proposed Greenway from Kilburn to Little Eaton, which will form part of the Key Cycle Network. The route will not only encourage active travel and low carbon emissions, but also provide accessibility to greenspaces and connection between rural communities without the need for a car.

We also strongly encourage the proposals’ aims to protect and enhance local wildlife, where possible, along the route.
