Sustainability key for Derbyshire start-up

White Peak has honoured local heritage in setting up its Derbyshire whisky distillery.

This recent Derbyshire Life article explores the labour of love that is White Peak Whisky Distillery at Shining Cliff near Ambergate, Derbyshire.

At CPRE we strongly support sustainable development such as this that uses ‘brownfield’ sites used in the past for buildings as well as re-purposing existing infrastructure.

It’s also great to see White Peak Distillery’s preference for using local suppliers, sensitivity to the natural environment and strong focus on a positive contribution to the local community.
