For a few years we have reported to our branch members, in Annual Reports and newsletters, about the difficulties faced by the Committee and branch generally in being able to carry out the role that is expected of us. In our January 2017 newsletter we invite your views on the way forward for the branch, and fill you in on what is happening around the county.

On behalf of our members, in September 2016 CPRE Derbyshire submitted a response to the pre-submission draft Local Plan published by Derbyshire Dales District Council.

We have been required to update our constitution.

We used one of the models from National Office and adapted it for our branch and its needs. This was approved by National Office in the autumn of 2015 and was approved by branch members at CPRE Derbyshire AGM on Saturday 4 June 2016 at Cromford Mills.

Green fields, green spaces and the Green Belt – all of these are under attack across our county on a scale not seen for a long time.

CPRE Derbyshire has been investigating the struggle for local plan approval in each district of our branch, and we report our findings in our December 2015 newsletter.
